

Itinerary for the Southern Costa Rica
Day 1 – San Jose to Dominical
Arrive in San Jose, transfer to Dominical through one of the most splendid areas in Costa Rica. On the way to the beach, cross the Cerro de la Muerte, part of the highest mountain range in Costa Rica, with an altitude of 11,500. Arrive at Dominical where the rain forest meets the ocean, and settle in at Hotel Domilocos on the beach.
Day 2 – White Water Rafting
Feel the rush and adrenaline of white water rafting when you navigate down the Coto Brus River (class III and IV) or the Savegre River (class II and II). During the run, see waterfalls and enjoy the richness in wildlife and unique scenery. After a day of paddling, return to the beach to relax and enjoy the sunset.
Day 3 – Surfing and Boot Camp
Learn to surf at one of the best surfing beaches in the world, Playa Dominical. Connect with the ocean and walk on water! After surfing, enjoy lunch and relaxation time, and then it’s time for boot camp on the beach with Mike, The Laid Back Drill Sergeant. There’s no better way to stay fit and have fun doing it. Then relax in the waterfall pool near Poza Azul and enjoy the rope swing and jump into the pool!
Day 4 – Waterfall Hike and Free Time
Hike to the amazing Nauyaca Waterfall. This big, beautiful waterfall is formed by two falls of 60 and 120 feet each and is arguably the best in Costa Rica. Enjoy a picnic, wildlife and scenery at the waterfall before heading back down to the beach for free time.
Day 5 – Rappelling and Boot Camp on the Beach
Experience the liberation of canyoning, descend streams in large canyons by rappelling down the cliff face. The equipment used (ropes, carabineers and harnesses) is akin to climbing. Rappelling down the rain forest is truly an experience you will never forget. After lunch, it’s time for boot camp fitness on the beach for more fun in the sun.
Day 6 – Surfing, Fishing and Yoga
Hone your surfing skills with lesson number two at Ventana’s Beach. Aptly named, this coastline is characterized by rock formations in the shape of windows. After surfing, catch your own tilapia for lunch at El Pavon. The fish is cooked in a traditional, Costa Rican manner. Visit the nearby waterfall for a swim. After some free time, rejuvenate at the Bamboo studio with Yoga.
Day 7 – Night at the Clouds, Hiking and Sports Massages
We will move up the mountains to the cloud forest for incredible views, Costa Rican wildlife, not to mention massages and relaxation time. Hike the many trails stemming from the Savegre Lodge and then chill out and enjoy a deserved sports massage. Finale dinner and drinks at the Savegre Lodge.
Day 8 – Return to San Jose
The fun has to end sometime, enjoy the mountainous scenery on the way back to San Jose. .
